A day among Victorino Bulls
A visit to the habitat of the fighting bull, the “dehesa”, or pastureland, where you can observe this beautiful animal and experience a burst of sensations on an unforgettable day in the fields.
“A day among Victorino bulls” is a visit to this legendary ranch of Extremadura that begins with a warm welcome accompanied by a seasonal appetiser at the “Tiesas de Santa María” estate, and continues with a guided tour of the ranch, alongside cowherds and farm managers on horses that will show you the litters and season’s stock of the three in-house brands: Albaserrada, Monteviejo and Urcola. The morning will be concluded with the tasting of the excellent “Victorino Martín” wine, paired with Iberian specialities and select cheeses from our lands. Witness a testing, or “tienta”, indulge your senses with intense flavours offered by this exquisite beast of the ranch through the food served in the estate’s well-equipped rooms and, finally, complete your tour with a visit to the Bullfighting Museum (Museo Taurino) in the “Monteviejo” estate that treasures countless memories of Galapagar’s legendary livestock, dedicated especially to the fighting bull.
It is not surprising that the cattle rancher Victorino Martín opened the doors of his legend to the bullfighting and nature enthusiasts, offering them a plethora of unique experiences through a memorable day in the field. Our region has always been a benchmark in the world of bullfighting: the bull-breeding estate, important fairs, historic bullrings and celebrations, such as the traditional San Juan Festival. These creatures have always manifested Extremadura’s undeniable character to the point of earning it the distinguished title of “Extremadura: The Land of Bulls”.
