La planim\u00e9trie de son trac\u00e9 pr\u00e9sente une forme de trap\u00e8ze irr\u00e9gulier qui repose sur des murs pleins en pierre de taille granitique gr\u00e9\u00e9s en appliquant le syst\u00e8me traditionnel de corde et de boutisse sur leurs fa\u00e7ades et renforc\u00e9s int\u00e9rieurement par une \u00e9paisse couche de b\u00e9ton d&#8217;environ 3 m\u00e8tres d&#8217;\u00e9paisseur. Ils sont d\u00e9fendus, \u00e0 des intervalles de 20 ou 30 m\u00e8tres, par vingt-trois puissantes tours carr\u00e9es ou cubiques qui entourent leur p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre total (1065 m\u00e8tres), d&#8217;environ six hectares d&#8217;extension, leurs pans s\u2019adaptant aux irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s topographiques de l\u2019environnement. Ils peuvent parfois avoir une largeur de plus de 4 m\u00e8tres, tandis que la hauteur oscille entre 10 et 14 m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"margin-bottom-50\">De grands murs d\u00e9fensifs qui prot\u00e8gent ses alentours, auxquels on acc\u00e8de par quatre immenses portes d&#8217;entr\u00e9e : la <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/fr\/lieux-a-ne-pas-manquer\/remparts-romains\/puerta-de-san-pedro\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8271\">Porte de Saint Pierre<\/a><\/span><\/strong> ou du Soleil (Puerta de San Pedro o del Sol) (Ier si\u00e8cle), au nord ; la <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/fr\/lieux-a-ne-pas-manquer\/remparts-romains\/puerta-de-la-guia\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8276\">Porte de la Guide<\/a><\/span><\/strong> ou de la Ville (Puerta de la Gu\u00eda o de la Ciudad ) (Ier si\u00e8cle), au sud-ouest ; la <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/fr\/lieux-a-ne-pas-manquer\/remparts-romains\/puerta-de-san-francisco\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8278\">Porte de San Francisco<\/a><\/span><\/strong> ou du Rouleau (Puerta de San Francisco o del Rollo) (XVIe si\u00e8cle), au nord- ouest et la <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/fr\/lieux-a-ne-pas-manquer\/remparts-romains\/puerta-del-carmen\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8273\">Porte du Carmen<\/a><\/span><\/strong> ou Nouvelle (Puerta del Carmen o Nueva) (XVIe si\u00e8cle), \u00e0 l&#8217;est, attestant de la domination et de la pr\u00e9sence romaines sur le territoire. Bref, malgr\u00e9 les alt\u00e9rations subies tout au long de sa longue histoire et les divers \u00e9pisodes de guerre dans cette r\u00e9gion frontali\u00e8re, les remparts romains de Coria sont probablement parmi les mieux conserv\u00e9s, dans leur ensemble, de tous ceux d\u00e9couverts dans toute l\u2019Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-5
