It was later expanded in 1861, by order of Mayor Juli\u00e1n Guti\u00e9rrez, through a new urban planning that concluded the previous tree planting, by levelling the surface of the land along its route, and the placement of benches. Its latest remodelling has been carried out by Mayor Jos\u00e9 Manuel Garc\u00eda Ballestero in the 2020-2021 biennium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, the Paseo Fluvial de La Isla has become an idyllic natural setting on the banks of the Alag\u00f3n River, frequented by the locals and the tourists alike, as it combines the natural beauty of its riverside forests with aquatic and outdoor sports, and the gastronomy with leisure through the numerous accommodations and eateries located on both banks of this river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-5 is-cropped
