Today, its wide expanse of 1.5 hectares is home to a rich collection of flora that represents the Mediterranean forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An excellent Interpretation Centre for Mediterranean Flora composed of holm oaks, cork oaks, oak groves and riverside forests that officially opened for the public on 3 April 1995 and offers environmental education and awareness to countless schoolchildren, associations, institutions, botanists, plant nursery owners and other people who visit these facilities daily. The most outstanding feature here is the 130-years-old enormous Platanus hispanica, which stands 30 metres tall and has been declared a singular veteran tree of Extremadura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
