Another important example is the enormous 17th-19th-century <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/conciliar-college-seminary\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8213\">Conciliar Residential College-Seminary<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (Colegio-Seminario Mayor Conciliar) that welcomed the young seminarians as well as clergymen for over a century. And then there is the 18th-century <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/ecclesiastical-prison\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8221\">Ecclesiastical Prison<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (C\u00e1rcel Eclesi\u00e1stica) where the lack of faith was expiated. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The possessions of Extremadura\u2019s oldest Diocese are quite a contrast to the civilian buildings, such as the 15th-20th-century <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/old-town-hall\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8225\">Old Town Hall<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (Ayuntamiento Viejo), restored today as the Municipal School of Music, and the old cereal warehouse of the <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/grain-exchange\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8229\">Alh\u00f3ndiga<\/a><\/span><\/strong> from the 16th-20th centuries, today converted into a Municipal Public Library dedicated to the writer Rafael S\u00e1nchez Ferlosio, who was quite deeply connected to Coria and Extremadura. Other such establishments include the archaic <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/municipal-butchery\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8234\">Municipal Butchery<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (Carnicer\u00eda Municipal) from the 16th-19th centuries, and the old <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/royal-prision\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8239\">Royal Prison<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>(C\u00e1rcel Real) from the 17th century that houses the permanent collection of the History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the City of Coria. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A tour inside the city walls will take you on a journey into the past to a city of the three cultures through the old <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/jewish-quarter\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8243\">Jewish Quarter<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and the old <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/moorish-quarter\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8250\">Moorish Quarter<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, outside the city walls, you can admire the monumental 16th-century <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/turismocoria.es\/turismo\/en\/other-places-of-interest\/stone-bridget\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"8256\">Stone Bridge<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (Puente de Piedra) that lost its waters in the middle of the modern period.
