wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\"><strong>La huella santiaguista dentro de la arquitectura g\u00f3tico-renacentista religiosa en la Ciudad de Coria.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este templo g\u00f3tico-renacentista, convertido en la segunda parroquia intramuros dentro de la ciudad, cuyo origen quiz\u00e1s derive tras ser entregado el Se\u00f1or\u00edo de Coria a la Iglesia de Santiago de Compostela por el rey Fernando II de Le\u00f3n (1157-1188), en 1162, presenta al interior planta rectangular de \u00fanica nave cubierta con b\u00f3veda de medio ca\u00f1\u00f3n con lunetos (siglo XVII) y b\u00f3veda de crucer\u00eda simple cubriendo la capilla mayor (siglo XVI), a cuyo lado del muro de la Ep\u00edstola se abre la sacrist\u00eda, la capilla dedicada al Cristo del Humilladero o de los Afligidos (siglo XVI) y una portada de ingreso sobre arco g\u00f3tico ojival situ\u00e1ndose a los pies, el baptisterio y un coro-tribuna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"margin-bottom-50\">Distintos retablos decoran el interior de la nave destacando el retablo mayor renacentista que remata el frente del presbiterio, de finales del siglo XVI, dedicado a Santiago Matamoros Ap\u00f3stol; mientras que, al exterior, una volum\u00e9trica portada adintelada, labrada en piedra, se abre al imafronte occidental del templo sobre el que se dispone, rematando todo el conjunto, una excelente espada\u00f1a dieciochesca barroca en forma de templete flanqueada por sendos aletones laterales para alojar las campanas trazada por el arquitecto Manuel de Larra Churriguera hacia 1732.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-5 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex
